Students Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Mexican Tin Art

On Wednesday, September 27th, students celebrated Hispanic Heritage month with a Mexican folk art craft at lunch recess. Traditionally, Mexican tin art (also known as hojalata, lamina, or lata) can be stamped, punched, cut and painted to create artwork that is light and durable.

Back to School Night Kicks Off the New School Year

Last night, Arroyo kicked off another fantastic school year at Back to School Night 2017-2018. Parents welcomed returning staff, and returning staff to new roles with Arlene Lopez as Secretary. We are also excited to welcome new members to the Arroyo community: Principal, Katy Sheyka; Health Clerk, Michael-Ann Pevehouse; 1st grade teacher, Tessa Nease; and 3rd grade teacher, Reena Oza.
